January 24, 2012
As we begin 2012, Two Wacky Women would like to wish you a happy new year, that includes sewing, quilting and doing all the things you love. Some of you have been with us from the very beginning so it’s difficult for us to let you know that we have made the decision that this will be our final year in business. Yes, you read correctly, we have decided to retire. As most of you know we both retired from the “real” world many years ago and now we’ve decided to retire once again, at the end of 2012. We have many retreats planned for the coming year and we’d like to take this time to bring you up-to-date: March 23 – 25, 2012 - We will again be offering a machine quilting retreat featuring Frances Moore. At this time, we still have 3 openings so if you’re interested head on over to our website and sign up right away. April 27 – 29, 2012 – Our spring retreat will be a “work on your own project” retreat. We still have room for 4 more quilters so if you haven’t already signed up, now is the time. August 9 – 13, 2012 – We are so excited to have the opportunity to host a retreat featuring Mary Lou Weidman and her “Story Book” quilts. We are able to offer 5 days with her at an unbelievably reasonable rate. We still have room but if you’d like to spend quality time with Mary Lou, and of course Two Wacky Women, you should sign up soon. September 14 – 16, 2012 - Our first of two fall retreats is already full. If you’re signed up but haven’t paid your deposit we ask that you do so as soon as possible. We have a wait list, so we’d like to make sure we know exactly how many commitments we have. October 19 – 21, 2012 – Our final retreat will be held in Palm Desert this year. We still have 3 openings so if you’re planning on attending, please sign up as soon as possible. We’d like to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for making our Two Wacky Women business such a success. Although the business is being retired, neither of us is going anywhere. We will still see you at quilt shows and at guild meetings. Do not hesitate to give us a call or send us an email, we’re still here to be of service.
Forever wacky, Marilyn Pond Robin Gallagher
